Laser Mole Removal by Body Area | Face, Eyelids, Eyebrows & Body | Sydney
Moles around the eyes can be cosmetically noticeable and often require careful treatment because of their close proximity to the eyelids and eyes. Treatment of eyelid and eyebrow moles requires experience, precision and careful attention to safety.
At Cosmetic Laser Sydney, all laser mole removal procedures are personally performed by Dr Peter Kim, who has over 20 years of experience and has performed more than 10,000 cosmetic laser procedures.

Where Can Laser Mole Removal Be Performed?
Laser mole removal can be performed on many areas of the body, provided the mole is suitable for laser treatment. Every mole is first carefully assessed by Dr Peter Kim to determine whether laser treatment is appropriate.
Below are some of the common areas where laser mole removal is performed.
Eyelid Mole Removal
Moles on the eyelids require careful treatment because of their close proximity to the eye. Local anaesthetic eye drops, specialised corneal eye shields and precision CO₂ laser techniques are used to maximise safety.
Eyebrow Mole Removal
Laser treatment can be an excellent option for many eyebrow moles. Larger moles may require two or more treatment sessions to achieve the best cosmetic result.
Mole Near the Eye
Moles beside the eye or at the inner corner of the eye require meticulous technique and careful eye protection during treatment.
Facial Mole Removal
Laser treatment is commonly performed for benign moles on the:
- Cheeks
- Forehead
- Chin
- Jawline
- Temples
Nose Mole Removal
Moles on the nose can often be treated with laser while preserving the natural contour of the nose.
Lip Mole Removal
Laser treatment may be suitable for selected benign moles on the upper or lower lip.
Mole Inside the Mouth
Selected benign pigmented moles inside the mouth may also be suitable for laser treatment following careful assessment.
Ear Mole Removal
Laser treatment may be performed for selected benign moles on the ear or earlobe.
Neck Mole Removal
Neck moles are commonly removed for cosmetic reasons or because they catch on clothing or jewellery.
Chest, Back and Body Mole Removal
Laser treatment may also be suitable for selected benign moles on the chest, back, shoulders, arms and other parts of the body.
Which Moles Cannot Be Treated With Laser?
Not every mole is suitable for laser treatment.
Suspicious lesions or moles with features suggestive of skin cancer may require biopsy or surgical removal rather than cosmetic laser treatment.
Every mole is carefully assessed before treatment.

Laser treatment was not performed. Instead, the lesion was surgically removed and sent for histopathological examination, which confirmed the diagnosis of skin cancer.
This case highlights the importance of having every pigmented lesion carefully assessed before considering cosmetic laser treatment. Not all “moles” are benign, and suspicious lesions should never be treated with laser alone.
